First Show of 2007
Monster Jam at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.

Our first show of 2007 was on January 6th, 2007...
The Monster Jam tour took us to the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.


Speed Channel was there to catch all the action...

Both Jim and Chris had the loudest pre show interviews with Scott Douglass...

The Party in the Pits was awesome.
The autograph lines were huge, and the fans were haveing fun...

Avenger and Brutus were ready for battle...
The field of trucks was huge 16 of the baddest Monster Trucks on the planet...

Bounty Hunter (Jim Creten), Iron Outlaw (Linsey Weenk)

Stone Crusher (Gary Wiggins)

and T-Maxx (Carl Van Horn) were all there.

The track was called "Houston Style" with the starting line on two huge table tops, a turn, a straight away, a final turn, then at the end of a set of cars was the finish line...

The new 2007 Racing and Freestyle trophies are sweet and the Double Down is giant...


That covers the pre show.. I hope to add action pics to the galleries soon. The night was a rollercoaster for the team. Intros went awesome but from then on it was crazy. Jim went out for Qualifying and off the line you could tell some thing was wrong he had motor but no power. Still making the best of it he made a clean run then pulled off the track, knowing we would have to change the transmission. The Avenger would miss Racing but with some hard core trashin. We were able to get the trans. changed out just in time for freestyle. Then to add to our bad luck the Brutus was not running right and on Chris's first round pass the blower belt cut loose. That was a quick fix, but when a blower belt flies off theres something else wrong. And sure enough when we pulled the valve covers there were 2 missing pull rods. Chris got one of them out of the motor. But time ran out it was time to Freestyle and Brutus would not make the call. Jim strapped in the Avenger with plans to drive it in to the ground. He made a slow lap around the track to let the fans know that it was Avenger Time, from there it was a big air assault with lots of momentum. Some of the high lights was when he cleared the van stack that was on top of the table top. Then followed it up with the box truck pyramid. But with 20 sec left on the clock he hammered it in hopes of a cyclone but the ground was tacky and over he went. Since there were still 20 seconds on the clock this score showed it with only a 20...
